Amara is a small organic life-style farm, situated in The Crags, a tranquil rural hamlet, close to Plettenberg Bay and Nature’s Valley.
Amara offers self-catering Accommodation in 3 spacious wooden cottages, overlooking a fresh water dam and wild swimming pool, with sweeping vistas onto the rugged cliff-faces of The Crags and Tsitsikamma mountains beyond.
Enjoy bird watching, hiking, mountain biking and fresh water swimming at your doorstep. Get a taste of country living and help collect fresh farm eggs for your table (when available); lend a hand with feeding and grooming the dwarf goats, or simply relax and take in the sites, smells and sounds of the surrounding country side.

Every place we’ve stayed whilst in South Africa has been lovely but Amara really stood out. If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle this really is the place for you. Secluded and quiet, it really does feel like paradise but only a ten minute drive to Nature’s Valley beach. Hope to come back one day. Thank you Irene for making us so welcome.
